CVR Calculator
If you have your baby’s head circumference and the lung lesion’s length, width, and height from ultrasound, you can estimate a CVR (CPAM Volume Ratio). CVR is only an estimate—it isn’t a perfect reflection of the lung malformation’s size. Measurements will vary from scan to scan depending on your baby’s position and exactly where the ultrasound cursor is placed.
In many centers, a CVR below 0.8 is generally considered lower risk for developing complications, while a CVR around 1.6 or higher may be associated with a higher risk. The most important thing is the trend over time and what your care team is seeing on your specific scans.
If you have questions about your CVR or what it means for monitoring and next steps, always discuss them with your medical team.
