Shaun M. Kunisaki, MD, MSc, is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in congenital lung malformation (CLM) management and research. As a medical advisor for CPAM Parents, he brings deep clinical expertise to the review of our educational materials and parent resources. He is a Professor of Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and directs the Fetal Program at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He also leads the American Pediatric Surgical Association Fetal Committee as well as the Congenital Lung Malformation Study Group, a clinical research collaborative spanning over 20 children’s hospitals in the United States. Dr. Kunisaki is an NIH-funded investigator with more than 100 peer-reviewed publications focused on improving outcomes for children with complex congenital conditions.
