Participate in a CLM Research Study!
A study led by Dr Marisa Schwab (Stanford University) is exploring parents’ experience of their child’s lung malformation diagnosis and care.
The study says: “Congenital lung malformations (CLMs) are rare development anomalies of the lung occurring in approximately one in 2500 live births. There is difficulty in predicting the severity of disease after birth. Counseling parents who have received a prenatal diagnosis of CLM thus involves a large degree of uncertainty about the experience after birth. The objective of this research project is to analyze the attitudes of parents with children diagnosed with a congenital lung malformation, specifically related to their experience with prenatal counseling and postnatal decision-making.”
